Installing a Webcam or Traffic Cam:

Installing a webcam or traffic cam is easy. Basically, you will need a webcam and webcam software that automatically uploads to a server. If you would like instructions on installing the traffic camera yourself, please see the information below. How to Install a Webcam Yourself:

To install a camera for use as a traffic cam, you will need the following:

Once you have everything required, follow instructions provided to install the Coffee Cup webcam software and the webcam.

 

Next, restart your computer. Once the computer has been restarted, open the Coffee Cup Software. Please note: The instructions provided here are for Coffee Cup Software version 4.0:

  • Click on "Options"

  • Click on the "General Settings" tab

  • Check "Run at Windows Start up"

  • Check "Reload Last Used Video Connection on Start Up"

  • Click on the "FTP Upload Settings Tab"

  • Check "FTP Upload Enabled"

  • Set "Capture an Image and Upload it Every" to 30 seconds (preferably)

  • For "Name of Image on website" It is best to use webcam.jpg, or your business name if you want to use it on NH Traffic Cams.com

  • Click on "Edit/Add Servers" and add your server info if you want to upload the webcam images to your own website. If you do not have a website and want to upload the images directly to NH Traffic Cams.com, please Contact us for detailed information for this section.
